MODEL KOMPETENSI GURU MI BERBASIS LITERASI DIGITAL ISLAMI: KAJIAN KONSEPTUAL

The rapid advancement of digital technology has fundamentally reshaped the professional demands placed upon Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teachers in Indonesia. This study seeks to construct a conceptual model of MI teacher competencies grounded in Islamic digital literacy, an integrative construct that synthesises twenty-first-century digital skills with the moral and spiritual imperatives of Islamic education. A qualitative library research methodology was employed, involving a systematic review of books, reputable scientific journals, and educational policy documents published between 2019 and 2024. Analysis of the collected literature reveals that Islamic digital literacy encompasses five interrelated dimensions: Islamic digital ethics (akhlaq al-raqmiyyah), critical digital information literacy, Islamic digital pedagogy, Islamic online collaboration and communication, and digital Islamic content integration. These dimensions are organised in a three-level hierarchical structure, labelled the IDEAL-MI model, progressing from foundational ethical competence through functional digital pedagogy to transformative content creation. The proposed model positions the MI teacher not merely as a technological user, but as a moral agent who channels digital resources in accordance with the objectives of Islamic education (maqasid al-tarbiyah al-Islamiyyah). This model is expected to inform curriculum reform in Islamic teacher education institutions, continuing professional development programmes, and institutional policy for Indonesian Islamic primary education.
