INTEGRASI NILAI-NILAI KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MI: PERSPEKTIF PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) as the foundational stratum of Islamic primary education in Indonesia occupies a strategically critical position in the transmission of both religious values and local cultural identity to the younger generation. However, a persistent disjuncture between national curriculum standardization and the rich diversity of local wisdom traditions continues to undermine the cultural rootedness and moral formation that Islamic primary education is inherently designed to cultivate. This study aims to critically examine the conceptual foundations, pedagogical potentials, and strategic frameworks for integrating local wisdom values into MI learning from the perspective of Islamic education. Employing qualitative library research methodology, this investigation systematically analyzes relevant scholarly literature, including classical Islamic texts, Indonesian educational policy documents, and peer-reviewed academic works published within the last five years. The findings demonstrate that local wisdom traditions in Indonesia share profound convergences with Islamic educational values, particularly in the domains of environmental ethics, communal solidarity, and moral character formation. The study concludes that a pedagogically grounded integration framework constitutes a culturally responsive and theologically coherent approach to strengthening character education in MI.
