Abstract

This study examines the development of an Islamic counseling model grounded in Qur'anic principles as a strategic framework for addressing adolescent identity crises. The purpose of this research is to formulate a comprehensive, spiritually integrated counseling approach that aligns therapeutic processes with Islamic values and Qur'anic guidance. Employing a library research methodology, this study systematically analyzed primary sources including classical Islamic texts, contemporary counseling literature, and peer-reviewed journal articles relevant to adolescent psychology within an Islamic framework. The findings reveal that a Qur'an-based counseling model incorporating the principles of tazkiyat al-nafs (spiritual purification), tawbah (repentance), and tawakkul (reliance on God) provides a culturally congruent and psychologically effective mechanism for supporting adolescents experiencing identity confusion. The model emphasizes the integration of self-concept formation drawn from Qur'anic anthropology, offering practitioners a structured yet flexible intervention framework. This research contributes a distinct model enriching the discourse of Islamic counseling science and serves as a practical guide for counselors working in Islamic educational institutions.
