Abstract

The expansion of digital technology has fundamentally altered the landscape of Islamic propagation (dakwah), compelling Muslim communicators to reconfigure their methodological frameworks in response to the affordances and constraints of social media platforms. This study examines the digital dakwah strategies deployed across major social media channels from the perspective of Islamic communication theory. Employing a systematic library research design, this investigation synthesizes scholarly literature encompassing Islamic communication principles, digital media studies, and contemporary dakwah methodologies published within the last five years. The findings reveal that effective digital dakwah necessitates the harmonization of three principal dimensions: content authenticity grounded in Islamic ethical values, platform-specific communicative adaptation, and audience-centered engagement approaches. Moreover, the research identifies a critical convergence between classical Islamic communicative virtues such as hikmah, maw'idhah hasanah, and mujadalah and contemporary digital communication competencies. These findings contribute to the theoretical elaboration of Islamic communication studies and offer practical guidance for Muslim communicators navigating the complexities of the digital public sphere.
