Ecopreneur, an international journal, provides a forum for publishing the original research articles, review articles from contributors, and the novel technology news related to Economics, Business, and Management in Developing Countries.

Research articles dealing with economics, business, management, etc. are particularly welcome. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, reviews, short communications and scientific commentaries in economics, business, management. International collaboration is highly encouraged.

Since 2024, all papers submitted to the journal should be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked before submission for grammar and clarity. The work should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Since 2016, the official language of the manuscript to be published in Ecopreneur journal is English.

1. General Author Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted to Ecopreneur Editorial Office by Online Submission at E-Journal portal address: https://jurnal.uibbc.ac.id/index.php/ecopreneur/about/submissions, where author register as Author and/or offered as Reviewer by online. If authors have any problems on the online submission, please contact Editorial Office at the following email: [email protected].

The following documents should accompany the manuscripts submitted by online through online submission interface (as supplementary files):

  • Covering letter, outlines the basic findings of the paper and their significance.

Three types of manuscripts are acceptable for publication: Original Research Articles, Review Articles, and Short Communication.

2. Manuscript Structure

Structure of the manuscripts

Title. The title should be brief, short, clear, and informative which reflects the article content. The length of the title maximum of 12 words. Each word of the title should be started with a capitalized letter.

Authors names and institutions. The authors names should be accompanied by the authors institutions and email addresses, without any academic titles and/or job titles. International collaboration is highly encouraged.

Abstract. The abstract should be a total of about 150 words maximum. The abstract should be a single paragraph and should follow the style of structured abstracts.The abstract with no references citedAlso, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided. The abstract must contains: (a)a clear statement of the originality from the research(b) research objective(c)method:  describe briefly the main methods or treatments applied(d) the empirical result, summarize the article's main findings; and (e) practical implications

Keywords. Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 5 keywords. The keywords are the key concept of the manuscript, these keywords will be used for indexing purposes. Authors also must add the JEL Classification

Introduction. The introduction should briefly place the study in a broad context and highlight why it is important. It should define the purpose of the work and its significance, including specific hypotheses being tested. The current state of the research field should be reviewed carefully and key publications cited. The introduction describes a brief background of the research, the research gap, state of the arts, and objective (s). It should be written efficiently and supported by references. It should be written without numbers and/or pointers.

Methods. This section describes the tools of analysis along with the data and their sources. They should be described with sufficient detail to allow others to replicate and build on published results. New methods and protocols should be described in detail while well-established methods can be briefly described and appropriately cited.

Result and Discussion. This section explains the results of the study. Data should be presented in Tables or Figures when feasible. There should be no duplication of data in Tables and Figures. The discussion should be consistent and should interpret the results clearly and concisely, and their significance, supported with suitable literature. The discussion should show relevance between the result and the field of investigation and/or hypotheses.

Conclusions. This section concludes and provides policy implications, if any, of the study.

References. Double-check that references are in the correct format. Only those papers that are being referenced are to be included in the references section. Sources not being referenced in the text must be omitted. This section lists only the papers, books, or other types of publications referred to in the manuscript. References should be the last 10-year publication with a minimum of 80% of the journal (especially from international recognized journals). References should be listed alphabetically by the author(s) last name(s) and the year of publication. This journal uses APA style 7th edition. We strongly suggested authors to use reference management software like Mendeley, Zotero, etc., to prepare citations and the list of references.

Citation in text. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). 


3. Reviewing of manuscripts

Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers with double-blind review.The Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within three months of the submission date.

4. Revision of manuscripts

Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to editorial office through the Online Submission Interface (https://jurnal.uibbc.ac.id/index.php/ecopreneur/index). The revised manuscripts returned later than three months will be considered as new submissions.

6. Guideline for Online Submission

The Author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on Register button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on New Submission. In the Start a New Submission section, click on Click Here: to go to step one of the five-step submission process. The following are five steps in online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles, Review Article, or Short Communication. Thus, author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
  2. Step 2 Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button.
  3. Step 3 Entering Submission Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the text-box including keywords.
  4. Step 4 Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 Confirming the Submission: Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Etikonomi journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.

After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process.

7. Author Fee (Page Charge)

Ecopreneur is an open access international journal. There are no submission fee for each article that submitted in Ecopreneur. Authors may pay the publication fee is to cover the publication costs. Readers can read and download any full-text articles for free of charge.

8. User Rights

All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, currently being defined for this journal as follows:

9. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

9.1. The manuscripts represent academic research in economics, business, management, and Finance discipline.

9.2. Upon the publication of the manuscript, the author should provide a letter states that the manuscripts have never been, or under consideration to be, published in other journal publications.

9.3. The authors should provide an index of subject, namely the specific terms  in the manuscript. The authors should also provide the index of authors, namely the key authors of papers referred in the manuscript. Please write the family name followed by the given name.

9.4. Estimation result from a software package is not allowed to be directly presented in the paper. They should be presented in equations with the appropriate estimation results.

9.5. Table format should contain only heading and contents. Please provide the top and bottom lines, along with the line(s) that separate the heading and the contents.

9.6.  Acknowledgment, if any, should be written as the foot-note of the manuscript title.

9.7. The manuscript is prepared in a A-4 paper, single-sided, and Single-space format. A new paragraph should start 5 characters from the left margin, using 12-size, Garamond font type.

9.8. The title is written using capital letters of 14 font size, centre position.

9.9. Sub titles are written using capital letters, started from the left margin.

9.10. Sub of sub titles are written using capital letters only at the beginning of each word except for connecting words. They should be started from the left margin.

9.11. References should be those of the last ten years publication, unless they are key references. The journal use APA style for references.

9.12. Citation in the text body should be written using the family name and years of publication. Example:

  1. Al Arif (2022) suggests that the objective of spin-off
  2. According to Kotter (2017), intra industry trade can be
  3. The definition of flypaper effect is .... (Wagner, 2016).

9.13. Tables and figures should be presented as follows:

  1. The name of tables and figures should follow a numbering system (Arabic numbering system). The names of the tables and figures are on the top and bottom parts of the tables, respectively.
  2. The tables and figures should provide the source of information, if any, at the bottom part of both.

9.14. References should be written in alphabetical order, without any number. They should be written using the following criteria:

For books, the format should follow the following example:

Al Arif, M. N. R., & Mubarok, F. (2022). Metode Riset Untuk Ekonomi dan Bisnis. Bandung: Pustaka Setia.

For papers that are part of a book, the format should follow the following example:

For journal/magazine papers, the format should follow the following example:

9.15. Authors are advised to use references management application in citation and referral management (such as: Mendeley, Zotero, End Note, etc).

9.16. A brief CV that records full name, academic title, institution, telephone, fax and mobile number should accompany the manuscript.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
