Abstrak

Based on Republika.co.id's news, the role of the kyai is very important in cultivating spirituality to deal with the negative impacts of disruption in the industrial era 4.0. Therefore, the role of the kyai is very important, especially the role of communication.
This study aims to determine how KH. Abdul Mujib as caregiver Tarbiyatul Banin Islamic Boarding School communicates with the community, the role of communication KH. Abdul Mujib in the Community, and the public's perception of the role of KH. Abdul Mujib.
The role of Kyai According to Sulton Mashud: As a visionary (having a vision for the future), communicator (influencing the community through direct communication by emphasizing the importance of values, assumptions, commitments and beliefs as well as a determination to achieve common goals by considering morals and ethics, motivators to inspire the community), innovator (encourages the search for new, more effective ways of working to achieve common goals), educator (educator)
This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a narrative study approach. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data collection tools used are interview guides, observations, and documentation. Sources of data in this study include Ustadz, students, and community members.
The results showed that there are several ways KH. Abdul Mujib communicates with the community: Through interactions in the daily life of KH. Abdul Mujib, through various religious and social events in the community, and by inviting the public to attend events at Tarbiyatul Banin Islamic Boarding School. The role of communication KH. Abdul Mujib in the Community covers the following fields: religious, educational, social, economic, national, political and government relations. Public perception of the role of communication KH. Abdul Mujib generally considered it positive. Public perception is that Kyai Abdul Mujib's communication role is very important in society
Research Conclusions, KH. Abdul Mujib communicates with the community in several ways, namely through daily interactions, through various religious and social events in the community, and by inviting the community to attend Tarbiyatul Banin Islamic Boarding School events. The role of communication KH. Abdul Mujib in society is very diverse covering the fields of religion, education, social, economics, nationality, and politics as well as relations with the government. Public perception of the role of communication KH. Abdul Mujib is generally positive and considers it important.
